It’s spring time! I am super excited about this time of year, and typically want to start bringing the outdoors in. I love, love, love using florals inside, and this year, Hobby Lobby has some gorgeous spring florals, including some ranunculus, that are just down right dreamy. Have you seen the pretty embroidery hoop wreaths floating around the interwebs on Pinterest and Instagram? They’re just gorgeous, so I thought I’d replicate that look with this vintage wine barrel ring that I found at a local flea market. I’m so in love with the final product!
It would be very easy to replicate this look by using large, wooden embroidery hoops. I used floral wire to hang the wooden monogram and to attach the flowers and greenery to the top of the hoop. I let it look a little loose and flowing, kind of giving it a bohemian vibe.
It’s now hanging in our side entry and it makes me smile when I look at it. (I’m of the opinion that you should love the things in your home. If there’s something in your home that you don’t love, it should go. But I digress…that’s a whole other blog post.)
If you decide to make your own wreath, whether with some kind of vintage barrel ring or embroidery hoops, I’d love to see it! Post it on my Facebook page or on Instagram with the hashtag #cultivatecreatepretties.
Thanks and have a creative day!
