One thing I tell my Weight Loss Community (#ccwlc), is that preparation is key when making good choices for your health. My experience is that when you plan ahead, whether that is meal prepping or having a meal plan, you are much more likely to stick to your eating plan and reach your goals. We always take the path of least resistance, it seems. So we have to make choosing healthy options a little easier on ourselves.
With that in mind, I’ve compiled some things that will help you reach your goals by making things a little easier for you to choose wisely. Food journals, meal prep containers, easy on-the-go protein snacks. All things that are wonderful to have on hand in order to reach your health goals.

Meal Prep and Food Journals
This 52 week meal planner allows you to easily plan your meals daily. It has grocery list area so you can jot down what you need from your meal plan. (By the way, if you’re looking for weekly low carb/keto meal plans, join the Cultivate Create Weight Loss Community. Find out more HERE.)
I really love this food and exercise journal. It has a place for you to keep track of your food intake, your exercise activity, how much water you get in, your measurements, and more. Very satisfying for those who love to check off a box if you know what I mean.
Meal Prepping Containers
I’m a firm believer that planning ahead is one of the best ways to keep yourself on track. Meal prepping can save you time and money (by helping you avoid eating out),helps with portion control, and can help you stay on plan with your eating. This set of 20 containers is a steal! Only .76 per set. They are microwave and dishwasher safe and are BPA free.
These glass meal prep containers have a lifetime guarantee and would last longer than your typical plastic meal prep containers. They are little pricier than their plastic counterparts, but should be more durable.
I loved this meal prep lunchbox! So great for those of you on-the-go…travel, work, or office! Great to take all of your food must-haves with you, keep it cool, and have conveniently packed together. It is insulated, comes with ice packs and meal prep containers.
I love my egg cooker! This allows you to prepare poached or scrambled eggs, egg muffins, or omelets in just minutes. So convenient. Great for home or office!
Protein Powders and Snacks
Protein powders are absolutely wonderful for meals or snacks! They give you an extra bit of protein and keep the carb and calorie count down! I love my protein coffee in the mornings! It allows me to get 20 grams of protein in one cup of coffee. This Inspire protein is my absolute favorite! And I’ve tried tons of different protein powders. This is sold from a bariatric site, however, it is just plain amazing protein powder and anyone can benefit from it!
Quest protein is another great low carb protein powder option! They have a few flavors to choose from as well.
I can’t say enough good things about Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides! When I started using it, I could tell a big difference in my hair growth and nail strength! It’s also great for joints. I put one scoop of this unflavored collagen into my bulletproof coffee, but you can also mix it into protein shakes or smoothies. Also, they have flavored Collagen Peptides as well like the one below.
Quest Protein Bars are my favorite! They are one of the few low carb options for protein bars. Most protein bars are packed with carbs and sugar and aren’t a good fit for keto or low carb lifestyles. Never tried before? Check out this variety pack and get to to try Cookies and Cream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Double Chocolate Chunk, Mocha Chocolate Chip, S’mores, and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip.
I love these Quest Protein Cookies even more than the bars! Have a treat while staying on plan. They are so yummy, especially when you warm them up in the microwave for a few seconds. Low carb, delicious and very filling.
By the way, local friends, Body Conscious in Opp sells Quest Protein bars and cookies!
